Mesterolone is an anabolic steroid that goes by the brand names Proviron, Pluriviron, and Vistimon. It is currently illegal in the United States, since its purpose is chiefly for athletic and muscle mass enhancement. It is taken orally in tablet form. It is part of a class of drugs known as androgens, or male hormones, and is usually take in conjuction with testosterone, an important male hormone. It can be used to treat disorders in which the body does not produce enough male hormones naturally, or it can be used to enhance the already-normal levels of male hormones for muscle build-up. It does this by inhibiting estrogen production, increasing the potency of testosterone, increasing muscle density and hardness, and decreasing libido. It is said in other places to increase the libido, improve health, give a feeling of overall well-being and energy, and to restore youthfulness in adult men. Some doctors prescribe mesterolone for the symptoms of ale menopause, which men experience as testosterone levels decrease with age. It can also be prescribed for some types of sexual dysfunction, such as disinterest, impotency, and low sperm count.
Men are sometimes prescribed mesterolone as an infertility treatment, but it should never be given to women who are or may become pregnant. Any hormone therapy can cause significant harm to a developing fetus, including causing birth defects. 

Proviron Mesterolone Administration
Standard Proviron doses to treat androgen or male fertility will normally fall in the 50-75mg per day range. Normally the total dosing is split into 2-3 25mg doses per day. In androgen deficiency plans, the total dosing almost always starts at 75mg per day and slowly reduces to 25-50mg per day depending on patient need.
In a performance capacity, Proviron doses normally range from 50-150mg per day. Most men, however, will find 100mg per day to be the minimum beneficial dose with both 100mg and 150mg being highly effective. Total use will normally last between 8-12 weeks. However, in an effort to breakthrough a sticking point in a cycle, say towards the end of a cycle a 6 week course of Proviron may do the trick.
